General description
The EDU Goals MOOC helps you to become a goal-minded teacher who sets small achievable goals throughout your teaching year and teaching career. Each unit motivates you to accomplish a goal to enhance learning in your classroom. This course will give you the opportunity of sharing your accomplishments with peers worldwide on our Facebook group and on Twitter using the hashtag #EduGoalsMooc.
The 30 Goals Challenge for Teachers is the inspiration behind this MOOC. Over 10,000 teachers have joined The 30 Goals Challenge for Teachers since 2010. After you complete this MOOC, you will be able to receive support from teachers worldwide who are also goal-minded on Twitter, Facebook, and other social networks. At the end of the activities, you will be able to gain a digital badge stored in the INTEF Open Badge Backpack that is awarded as recognition for the learning throughout the MOOC. The estimated workload is only indicative, training hours not being certified. It is expected that the main motivation for participation in the MOOC is personal learning, professional development and collaboration with other teachers.
Digital Competence for teachers
This MOOC contributes to the development and improvement of the Teachers’ Digital Competence in all areas, especially focusing on Area 1 "Information and data literacy", Area 2 "Communication and collaboration", Area 3 “Digital content creation” and Area 5 "Problem solving" of the Common Digital Competence Framework for Teachers.
The successful completion of the activities in the course will help you reach the following competence levels:
B1 of competence 1.1. Browsing, searching and filtering data, information and digital content, working on the following descriptor: "I surf the internet and share educational resources as well as relevant information with other teachers".
B1 of competence 1.2. Evaluating data, information and digital content, working on the following descriptor: "I maintain a critical attitude towards the information and educational resources on the internet before putting them into practice".
B2 of competence 2.1. Interacting through digital technologies, working on the following descriptor: "I select the communication tool or application most appropiate according to my recipients (be those students, teachers, families, administration, etc.)".
B1 of competence 2.2. Sharing information and digital content, working on the following descriptors: "I collaborate via the internet with a large number of colleagues, forming a personal learning network (PLN)".
C2 of competence 2.4. Collaborating through digital technologies, working on the following descriptor: "I search, try and experiment nex applications or collaborative work resources that have potential for my teaching or for the collaboration with other members of the education community".
B2 of competence 2.6. Managing digital identity, working on the following descriptor: "I often take care of the image I project online and I encourage my colleagues and my students to do the same".
C1 of competence 3.2. Integrating and re-elaborating digital content, working on the following descriptor: "I participate, in the collaborative creation of digital educational resources with other teachers for the students".

Facilitation and Content Curation
Fabiana Casella is a passionate EFL teacher, an Education and ICT Specialist, Microsoft Certified Innovative Educator Expert, Trainer and Guest Speaker from Argentina. Since 1989, Fabiana has been teaching Secondary school, tutoring children and adults at language schools. She taught ESL and Spanish High School and Middle School in the United States, where she was awarded the Cultural Exchange Ambassador Diploma by Visiting International Faculty, based in North Carolina. Being a Cultural Exchange educator, getting involved in Social Media Education sites, applying tech tools in her classes, staying in touch and participating in projects with educators around the world, blogging and presenting online has had a tremendous impact on her teaching life. Kelly Jake Duncan is an ESL teacher at Splendora ISD and an outspoken advocate for student voice. He enjoys speaking and sharing resources about effective instructional strategies for english language learners, bilingual and esl education, and integrating technology in the classroom. Target audience
This MOOC is aimed at working teachers, perspective teachers, librarians, and teacher trainers who want to learn to integrate technology effectively, make learning meaningful for students (specifically children, adolescents and teens), and take ownership of their own professional development. This MOOC is also open to anyone interested in this topic.
Recommended Requirements
To participate in this MOOC it is only necessary to have an Internet connection that allows you to watch videos, since much of the content that we offer is in this format.
Some skill in using digital environments is necessary in order to conduct activities that facilitate reflection, debate and peer collaboration.
